Sylvere Trichard is a young vigneron who lives in the small hamlet of Blace, a village in Beaujolais. In 2012, after interning with Domaine Belluard and working at Domaine Lapalu, Sylvere took over his uncles 4ha of vines. Since 1998 the 4ha had been farmed organically (certified Ecocert) and biodynamically under the previous domaine called Domaine de Fully.
Sylvere returned to biodynamic farming in 2018. His wines go through semi-carbonic maceration and are aged mostly in concrete vats or large wooden casks. The wines are bottled without fining, filtration or SO2 when feasible.
The estate, with a surface of 6ha, is divided into two sections. In one part, the soil is composed of silt and loam and a gentle slope going towards a small stream. The second part of the estate is within the village’s zone and is made of sand and granite. The vines’s age range from 20 to 80 years old.
The cuvee Gisous comes from a parcel of 80 years old vines, facing North/East. Gisous is a tribute to Sylvere’s grand-mother who lives next door. New this year, we are introducing his Primeur Beaujolais 2020, which has gained quite a following in France and Japan.
